We can’t hardly wait to eat salads full of vegetables from our own garden ! But since that’s going to be awhile still, we have been working on improving our fresh veggie intake by buying a lot of fixings from the store. But we know it can be all too easy to turn that nutritious salad into a 1800 calorie nightmare. The culprit? High-calorie salad dressings.
We’ve been working on making our own salad dressings lately. I had been using a canning jar, but found it to be more messy than I really desired to deal with. And my kids had a hard time getting dressing for themselves. And who wants their kids to become less independent!?! Enter the OXO Good Grips Salad Dressing Shaker!
This shaker has been a delight to use! The top unscrews to add ingredients. Once the ingredients are added, screw the top on and shake to quickly mix dressings with no spills. The top lever flips back for pouring and forward to seal making this both a shaker and a wonderful storage container in the fridge! The Shaker is made of a BPA-free, break-resistant and dishwasher safe material.
The recipe we used was so simple! We already had all of the ingredients on hand.
